Review of Everyday Waterproof Dungarees

5/5

The Everyday waterproof Dungarees were just the best ever invention! During Atumn & Spring when it is warm enough to play outside my little girl was always wet from the grass, slide swings ect, now as long as she has on her puddleducks (as she calls them) she can play away outside all day everyday which she loves, she is on her second pair and her old ones now fit her little sister, the fact that they are pink too she loves wearing them they are just brilliant and i dont know how i ever done without them!

Review of Everyday Waterproof Dungarees

4/5

I bought these dungarees last August for my daughter who was 13 months at the time. They have been fantastic as I only have to losen the elastic to adjust the size. We have had wear out of them consistently throughout the winter and were able to go the playground or out on the bike when other kids were stuck inside. I expect they'll get plenty more use yet as there is till good room to grow. Definately recommend buying these.

Review of All-in-One Waterproof Suit – Blue

5/5

Would recommend everyone to have all in one suit. My young man has lived in his for the last year. Takes enormous amounts of wear and still looks like new when washed. He learned to crawl & walk in his. No rips! Excellent product, service & advice.

Review of Long Padded Jacket

5/5

I bought the long padded black jacket last Autumn for my 9 year old son for school. Its perfect.

He loves the numerous zipped pockets and the fact its a relatively light weight jacket. I love that its very warm, a decent length and that it keeps him cosy and dry on inclement school mornings and evenings.

At 45 euros its great value and an added bonus is its machine washable. Would thoroughly recommend!

Review of Tom Crean at the Everyman

Tom Crean at the Everyman
4/5

This one man show is well worth a watch; Aidan Dooley in his role as Tom sweeps you away with his tales of the Antarctic voyages. It's a great story and it's told with such enthusiasm and natural wit that you'd swear you were in a pub in Kerry listening to Tom himself.

Review of CycloDS Evolution Card “ Turn your Nintendo DS lite into a multi-media wonder

4/5

This cool little card will allow you to view films, listen to music and play games on your Nintendo DS/DS lite turning it into a true multi media device. Costing just a little more than a standard DS game you can have a variety of media at hand for you or your kids.Sounds too good to be true, well its not, this specially designed card allows you to use mp3’s, movies (in a certain format .dpg), images, read ebooks and games (referred to as home brew games) on your Nintendo DS lite. OK so the process may not be for the faint hearted but I did managed to conquer the somewhat complex setup, conversions and hiccups and have been able to leave countless gadgets behind, replacing them with a DS all-rounder.So let’s start with the easiest process. Getting music, ebooks and images on to the card is as simple as dragging a dropping the files on to a microSD card (sold separately) via the supplied adapter. Games aren’t that much more difficult, again using drag and drop method to install them on the mircoSD. The limitation here is that the games available are from what is referred to as the ‘homebrew’ market. These games are not subject to copyright issues but don’t have the finesse of ‘mario kart’ and the like. However I loved them and of course you can always just insert your normal games as required. The final part of the package is the viewing of films, again here you can only use non-copyright material but the conversion is not simple. I had never heard of the .dpg format but with the help of internet I found a free batch converter tool, funnily enough called ‘batch dpg converter’ and it didn’t take too long to get my media converted. Following conversion its drag and drop time again. The amount of media is only limited by the size of your microSD card (presently 16gb).The Cyclo DS Evolution card is ‘plug and play’, you just insert the card into the DS’s game slot and you’re off. The user interface is very intuitive and you shouldn’t have any problems navigating to music, videos or games. Over all I found this a very useful little addition for the DS. Allowing me to travel light on a number of trips and reducing the risk of damage or loss when on the move. The games were better than I expected, the music was easy to navigate and the films were watchable. The phrase ‘jack of all trade’s master of none’ springs to mind but the I wouldn’t go without it. It’s also saved me buying separate portable dvd players and music players. Finally, as the card draws very little power the 10-12 hour DS lite battery life does not deteriorate even when watching videos which is much better than many other dedicated video devices and makes it ideal for long trips.Overall it really is a miniature wonder and hasn’t crashed or failed once I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the difficulty in converting video.

Review of ‘Unravelling the Ribbon’ at the Everyman

'Unravelling the Ribbon' at the Everyman
3/5

'Unravelling the Ribbon' centres on the lives of three female characters who are touched by cancer in one way or another. This delicate topic is deftly handled, as the story has moments of laugh-out-loud humour and offers hope for all involved. The play carries a message; it is designed to alert women to the perils of breast cancer, and the predominantly female audience were no doubt made more aware of these issues, had they not been before. Theplay alsodeals withrelationships, particularly the husband/wife relationship. While the eldest character, Lola (Ruth Hegarty) sorts through the memories of her time with her husband, Archie, the younger woman, Rose, attempts to patch up the broken relations between herself and her husband, Mike. Meanwhile, Rose's daughter, Lynsey, is ensconced in her own innocent eleven year old world, worrying over school, friends and her body'sreluctance to grow up and fill out! The play has a simple set-up...the three women each occupy their own area of the stage, individually performing their monologues, but as times moves on, they begin to cross borders and interact, drawn closer together by their experiences in life. For anyone worrying that the themes of this play may cause worry or grief, be comforted in knowing that, while it is an honest play, it also awakens us to the joys and hope that life offers us!
